HanFlowRead · hear · understand

Mandarin that adapts to how you remember.

HanFlow introduces characters through their components, sound clues, meanings, tones, and real sentence patterns, then changes its teaching approach using evidence from your later recall.

Learn without quotas

Answer one question or continue for as long as you want. There are no daily targets, streak penalties, energy limits, or fixed lessons.

Practise the whole language

Reading, listening, handwriting, pronunciation, phrases, stories, and constrained conversation share one learner model. Supported on-device tools can enrich Android feedback without making the core curriculum dependent on AI. The website also offers optional external tools.

Understand how characters are built

Components are introduced before the characters and words that depend on them. Meaning components, phonetic clues, tone contrasts, and compound structure turn unfamiliar Hanzi into patterns that can be reasoned about rather than isolated shapes to memorize.

Practise at the edge of recall

Recent answers matter more than old ones. HanFlow varies recognition, recall, listening, pronunciation, handwriting, and contextual activities while returning difficult material sooner and keeping established vocabulary in long-term review.

Move between your devices

Use a local backup file to move learning progress between devices. Android 3.64.0 and later has no external-account connection. The website and earlier Android versions also offer optional Google sync through HanFlow's private Drive app-data folder, without access to ordinary Drive files.

Learning remains available offline without an account. In editions that offer Google sync, access is requested only after you choose to connect it.
